Surrey strengthens its position in the 2013 Guardian league table
22 May 2012
The University of Surrey is delighted to have risen to 12th place in the Guardian newspaper’s new University league table.
University rankings are relied upon to show the quality and standards of universities around the world. While they do not reflect the whole picture of what the university offers in its broadest sense, they are an important factor in decision making for many students, especially international students who may not be familiar with many of domestically well-known universities. Moving up the rankings to a higher place is the result of a lot of hard work and investment. And it’s always something to be celebrated.
This year, the University of Surrey has jumped seven places in the latest Guardian league table to sit at 12th position in the annual rankings. This impressive rise is testament to the continued development and progress the University has invested in its academic programmes and research. Surrey has strengthened its league table position across all the important university league tables including the Guardian, The Times and The Sunday Times rankings.
