Study Group is delighted to have recently hosted a special double celebration event in Huddersfield. It recognised the achievements of the 2017/18 cohort and also marked 10 years of successful collaboration between Study Group and the University of Huddersfield.
The event, held before the Christmas break, was hosted by Linda McKeon, Head of Centre, and Stephen Zimmer, Deputy Head of Centre. Top students who have recently progressed to the University of Huddersfield received prizes for their achievements.
More than 150 students received a Letter of Commendation or a Letter of Merit, in recognition of their hard work at the International Study Centre. Dave Taylor, Pro Vice-Chancellor, International, University of Huddersfield also congratulated progressed students.
Professor Taylor said: “I have seen more than 2,000 students come through the International Study Centre in the past 10 years. They are some of the most successful students in our University."
For 10 years, Study Group’s International Study Centre and the University of Huddersfield have been preparing students for career-focused degrees in the UK. In that time, 75% of progressed students have graduated from the University with a first or second-class degree.
The 10 year anniversary of the International Study Centre is being celebrated with a number of different events. In recognition of the success of the collaboration, a brand-new joint scholarship is being offered, of up to £10,000 over the course of students' studies.
