Student Progression and Wellbeing Coordinator

Job overview

Operational responsibility for the development and provision of high-quality student progression activity, including supporting the planning and delivery of a range of activities to support effective engagement and progression including (but not limited to) data management and reporting, progression management and enhancement, student support and communication of policies.

You will also act as the designated safeguarding lead for the Kingston University London International Study Centre (KULISC), providing student support and overseeing complex cases.

Providing front line wellbeing support for students, you will work with the tutors to help students remove barriers to their learning and provide early intervention when wellbeing issues arise.

You will be part of a friendly and welcoming Student Services team, responding to, and triaging general enquiries as needed.

Key responsibilities

The Student Progression and Wellbeing Coordinator works collaboratively with the tutors, professional services and Centre management at KULISC to “prepare international students to progress and thrive at Kingston University through successful completion of their programme”. You will be required to continually monitor student performance to ensure that timely support is provided with a view to enhancing each individual’s opportunity for success. If a student is unlikely to progress to Kingston University, you will work with Centre management and academic tutors to help the student to explore alternative options in UKHE.

Experience

  • Educated to GCSE level (including English & Maths) or equivalent or relevant experience.
  • Strong IT and data management skills including: competency in Excel, Outlook, Power Point, Word, and a willingness to learn and adopt new technologies.
