Student Experience Support Officer – Progression

The Huddersfield University International Study Centre needs an experienced and accomplished Student Experience Support Officer – Progression. The post holder will undertake a variety of tasks including student records, managing and coordinating student attendance, student welfare and pastoral administration support, student progression events and provide support to the academic and SMT where necessary.
This is a fast paced environment and the successful applicant will have proven customer service skills and previous experience of working with international students, possess excellent IT, communication and organisational skills. The post holder will be working in an open plan office, so it is important they enjoy working as part of a team.
The post holder will undertake a variety of tasks including student records, managing and coordinating student attendance and student progression events coordination. Reporting to the Head of Student Experience, you will:
Work with the Student Experience Coordinator to ensure we are fully compliant with all aspects of student information.
Assist in the preparation and be involved in student induction.
Assist with BeSocial events to ensure high levels of student engagement
Work with the Head of Student Experience to plan and create the Progression week timetable.
Be the point of contact for Progression Week activities.
Ensure the progression database is kept up to date and provided to the relevant stakeholders in a timely manner.
Work closely with the Student Experience & Welfare Officer in monitoring student attendance on a daily basis as and when required.
Bachelor’s degree in a related subject area
Detailed evidence of coordination and organisational skills.
You will have experience of or a commitment to working with international students and in a fast paced pressurised office environment.
Evidence of effective communication with a wide range of people in order to successfully achieve an outcome
Good time keeping and time management skills with ability to work to deadlines and targets and use own initiative
Knowledge of working with timetabling systems and across a variety of complex IT systems
