Our Professional Services team support the centre on everything outside of the classroom. In this role, you will join the centre to provide a high level of data driven support in a number of areas, so you’ll need to be data driven with extensive experience in admin. This will result in exposure to different areas of Academic admin, including Visa’s, attendance, student data, and induction. You will be required to show excellent people skills providing customer service to our students and other areas of the business.

Our University of Surrey International Study Centre is based in the beautiful town of Guildford, in the heart of a campus that is extremely picturesque with a calm, peaceful atmosphere. The centre offers an International Foundation programme, a Pre-Masters programme, and English language preparation courses. There are a variety of pathways offered on both programmes as well as a variety of students from all across the globe.

Key responsibilities

  • To provide comprehensive data driven support to centre stakeholders including ISC students, the academic team, and student services.
  • Support and participate in induction programmes.
  • Support academic staff in relation to student attendance
  • Manage activities in relation to visa, immigration and other compliance activities.

Experience

  • You’ll have extensive experience working with high volumes of data in a fast paced office environment.
  • You will be competent with Microsoft Office, especially using Excel.
  • Proven success in working under pressure and to deadlines.
  • Demonstrates the ability to form and maintain appropriate relationships and personal boundaries with children and young people.
  • If you’ve had experience working in an educational environment then this would be a huge benefit.
