Student and Centre Services Team Leader

Are you an experienced Academic Administrator or Student Support specialist that would like the opportunity to lead a team, in a fast paced centre full of talent international students?

If so then this could be a perfect role for you! We are Study Group, a global pathway provider in International Education. Due to some very exciting changes in our Professional Services Team, our Durham University International Study Centre is interested to find a Team Leader to take responsibility of the Student and Centre Support Services, ensuring that a highly quality student experience is provided to our students.

Salary: £28,000 per annum
Contract Type: Full Time, Permanent

What is this role and where does it fit in?

This is a fast paced role leading the Student and Centre Support Services team through day-to-day management, which includes task delegation, monitoring, resourcing and problem solving. Ensuring high levels of customer service and support is provided for the centres students, including induction and registration, enhancement activities, processing student data and information, sponsored and assisting with activities in relation to UKVI compliance and police registration.  You will also process and analyse data and provide a variety of management information reports. The team are hardworking and highly motivated, professional, and all very friendly.

What experience do you need?

Ultimately we are looking for someone with high interpersonal and customer services skills, with excellent communication and listening ability, and previous experience communicating with stakeholders at all levels. You must be highly organised, excellent with managing data, and a natural problem solver. Here’s some experience that will certainly get our interest:

  • Previous experience working in an Academic Admin/Student Support environment.
  • Previous experience managing/leading a team is high desirable.
  • Working with Progresso or a similar student management systems.
  • Experience of working with Further or Higher Education course structures.
  • Previous experience using University databases.

Where is this role based?

Our Durham University Study Centre is the newest to the Study Group network, recently opening its doors in September last year. Based in the stunning Queens Campus, it is now a fully functional centre full of talented students from across the globe. The centre runs a varied curriculum across the International Foundation, and the Pre-Masters programme. This is an energetic centre, where no day is the same. The centre is right next to the River Tees and the stunning Infinity bridge.
