Sessional Tutors (various subjects)

Location: Royal Holloway International Study Centre
Hours: 4-24 per week Fixed term contract. 4-12 hours per week from mid-September 2017 with up to 12 additional hours possibly available from January 2018, depending on module and student numbers, Contract length is from September 2017 to end August 2018.
We are looking for tutors in the following areas to teach on the International Foundation Year in order to prepare students for entry onto their chosen course at the University.
Mathematics tutor: Modules include Pure, Applied and Core Maths
Business tutor: To teach on the Business module
Social Sciences (Sociology and/or Psychology) tutor: To teach on the Sociology and/or Psychology modules. Applications from candidates who can also teach both subjects are particularly welcome.
Experience and Skills
- Relevant first degree, with a Masters desirable and a teaching qualification
- Experience of teaching Mathematics to Level 3 (A-level equivalent), preferably in a further education environment
- Experience of teaching in an international context
- Experience of Foundation programmes is desirable
- Good organisational skills
- Good IT skills
