Bellerbys Brighton is a co-educational international college which specialises in providing a high quality British Education for predominantly international students from over 60 different countries around the world and preparing them for university. We are seeking to appoint a full time Receptionist to assist with the smooth running of all areas of Reception. The post holder will be responsible for providing high standards of service to all clients and visitors to the College.

This person will be responsible for:

  • This position is for a junior or experienced Reception Administrator to function as part of the Reception Team.
  • You'll be meeting and greeting customers as they visit for appointments and you will be pivotal in ensuring they receive excellent customer service.
  • As a receptionist you will be first point of contact for the company and therefore will have to have a good understanding of Study Group products and processes.
  • Majority of your working day at Reception will take answering, screening and forwarding any incoming phone calls while providing basic information when needed.
  • Assisting Security Officers to ensure all Security/Visitor policies are met; issue and retrieve security passes to all visitors; keeping track of visitors.
  • Manage college visitor books and outlook calendar; be responsible for the college minivan log-book.
  • Ensuring that the team functions to the professional and consistent standards expected so as to provide a high level of customer focus to meet business needs.
  • Booking taxis for clients visitors and staff when required
  • Attend First Aider trainings, being a first aider at work
  • To carry out any other reasonable duties required by senior management.
  • The successful applicant must have the following personal qualities:
  • Excellent communication oral, written, numerical, articulation skills
  • Good IT skills – Microsoft Office Suite (e.g. Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Good organisational skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work to a demanding schedule and delivery deadlines.
  • A can do attitude

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Experience of front-of-house in a hotel or corporate environment..
  • Experience of working in a highly customer focused service delivery role.
  • An excellent customer focused manner at all times.
  • The ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
  • A very high standard of personal appearance.
  • A good eye for detail and a desire to take responsibility, through to resolution, for issue and concerns generated by our customers.
  • Certified at enhanced DBS level (check undertaken prior to employment)
