Study Group operates in a complex, competitive and fast paced international marketplace and it's essential that we continually evolve in order to stay ahead of the game. We're looking for a Project Manager on an interim basis (initially until the end of 2019, subject to review) to work with our Commercial team on a number of key initiatives.

In this job you'll provide project management support as part of the Group PMO team to ensure the successful delivery of projects and initiatives related to Study Group’s strategic delivery programme. You'll be based either at our offices in Brighton or London, although we're open to the idea of candidates working from home 2/3 days per week.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure that projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget
  • Allocate and coordinate internal and third-party resources to ensure successful delivery of projects
  • Develop project charters (including scope, objectives, deliverables, benefits, resourcing and governance structure), involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility
  • Develop and manage detailed project plans
  • Manage and control changes to project scope, schedule and costs
  • Measure project performance using appropriate systems, tools and techniques
  • Report and escalate progress and issues as required, including to project boards
  • Build and manage effective working relationships with stakeholders
  • Identify, evaluate and manage project risks and issues
  • Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation

Skills and attributes

To do this job you'll ideally have a Project Management qualification, and certainly have significant experience of project management within changing operational environments. In addition you'll be:

  • Highly organised and self-motivated
  • A good communicator, both written and verbal, confident in developing relationships at all levels
  • Able to lead project meetings including putting together agendas / slide decks
  • Able to prioritise work and work to deadlines
  • Willingness to travel within UK (London, Brighton, ISC network & Bellerbys Colleges locations). Occasional international travel may be required
  • A flexible and resourceful approach
