Freelance Web Editor

Study Group is a global education company with offices in Brighton, London, New York, Sydney and Singapore.

The Creative Services team are based in a light, bright and friendly office close to Brighton station. We are currently recruiting a full-time freelance Web Editor to work on a range of website administration and content tasks. The successful candidate will be responsible for updating content across a suite of websites, working with one other freelance web editor as part of a busy content production team.

Previous Sitecore experience is not required as full training will be given, however a working knowledge of one or more CMS would be beneficial.

Contract details:

  • Immediate start
  • Based in our friendly and creative Brighton office
  • 37.5 hours per week: 9.00 - 17.30 Monday to Friday on an ongoing basis following a successful one-week trial
  • £10 per hour

Key responsibilities

  • Updating website content via Sitecore CMS
  • Managing team inbox and prioritising requests
  • Performing website administration tasks
  • Writing blogs and other website content
  • Uploading new images to image library and websites
  • Supporting the content team to ensure all website amendment requests can be turned around promptly and efficiently
  • Communicating with stakeholders at all levels within the business

Essential skills

  • A keen eye for detail
  • Excellent writing and English language skills
  • Good IT skills
  • Ability to build client relationships and solve problems
  • First-rate organisational and prioritisation skills
  • Strong sense of initiative and ability to meet deadlines
  • Basic knowledge of HTML and current SEO practices
  • A patient and methodical approach to work
  • Ability to communicate with a range of stakeholders, including senior managers
  • Familiarity with Sitecore or other website CMS
  • A can-do attitude and willingness to learn
  • Sense of humour preferred!
