Embassy Summer Training and Quality Manager

Job Description

To be responsible for comprehensive and complete delivery of training to all staff, as per the training needs analysis, and to maintain the department's training record

To appraise and report on centre operations against Accreditation UK requirements, statutory and regulatory requirements, and pre-agreed best practice

To deliver training to Activity Leaders, Teachers, Managers and ancillary staff

To line manage up to one Embassy Summer Centre

Contract type: Fixed-term

Location: Brighton 

Key Responsibilities 

PRE OPERATION

  • To complete a training needs analysis for all staff
  • To manage and implement an initial training delivery plan that supports complete delivery of relevant topics to all pertinent staff
  • To be responsible for the training record of all staff
  • To deliver Activity Leader practical training days, night supervisor training, management training and first aid training
  • To develop, manage, maintain and distribute the online training platforms and content
  • To develop, manage and distribute job manuals with support from the Programme Managers and Transport Manager
  • To manage training logistics including general organisation, trainee correspondence, facility bookings, and expenses

OPERATING PERIOD

  • To promote and safeguard the welfare of students in line with legal, accreditation and company requirements
  • To appraise centre operations against Accreditation UK requirements, statutory and regulatory
    requirements, and pre-agreed best practice
  • To provide Programme Managers with reports and suggested action plans following centre appraisal
  • To monitor the implementation of short term development plans on behalf of the Operations Manager
  • To manage and implement a follow up training delivery plan that ensures complete delivery of relevant topics to all pertinent staff
  • To deliver Activity Leader practical training, night supervisor training, management training and first aid training as required to ensure universal coverage across the portfolio 

Selection Criteria

Qualifications and Training

  • Educated to degree level or equivalent 

Experience Required

  • Experience of working in a summer school or similar environment
  • Training temporary staff
  • Project management
  • Managing multisite operations
  • Managing temporary staff
  • Accreditation UK inspection experience (desirable)

Enhanced DBS check

It is a condition that the successful applicant before the appointment is confirmed will be required to undergo an Enhanced DBS check and referencing prior to commencement of employment. This will include details of cautions, reprimands or final warnings as well as convictions.
