Job overview

The International Study Centre located on the University of Sussex campus is looking for a friendly, helpful and patient new member of staff to join our busy Academic Administration office. This is an exciting opportunity for a welcoming, self-motivated and efficient individual.

Key responsibilities

The post holder will undertake a variety of tasks including processing records, producing reports, and providing support to the academic teams in relation to quality assurance and students in a fast paced environment.

The successful applicant will have proven customer service skills and previous experience of working with international students, possess excellent IT, communication and organisational skills. Experience of Word mail merge, Excel spreadsheets and databases is also required, as well as a high degree of accuracy and a keen eye for detail. The post-holder will be working in an open plan office, so it is important they enjoy working as part of a team.

Experience and qualification

  • Experience working in an educational environment
  • Experience in using Excel- essential
  • Ability to pick up tasks quickly and work in a fast paced environment
  • Experience working with international students would be advantageous
