We’re looking to hire a talented finance professional for a fixed term contract (12 months) within our Commercial Finance team. Based in our Brighton offices, five minutes’ walk from the train station, the team supports operations and support functions across our businesses in the UK, mainland Europe and North America.
In this job you’ll have responsibility for FP&A activity within our Higher Education UK division, which operates in partnerships with 29 universities to offer courses to international students from all over the globe. You’ll support Regional Directors, Cluster Directors and Heads of Centre, helping them make informed strategic, commercial and operational decisions.

What skills will I need for the job?
You’ll be an experienced management accountant (part qualified, qualified or QBE) and business partner, with first rate relationship building skills. You’ll be skilled in analysing financial and non-financial data, and presenting to non-finance colleagues in an engaging and understandable way.

What will the job actually involve?
Among other things, you’ll:
- Lead the annual budget and planning process as well as quarterly forecasts
- Provide finance business partnering to Regional Directors, Cluster Directors and Head of Centres
- Assist in managing the relationship with respect to financial matters with partner universities
- Work closely with financial control team to validate actual numbers reported on a monthly basis
- Lead completion of all monthly/quarterly/yearly reporting, analysis and related presentations
- Be the finance lead for ISC network projects, to provide sound review, analysis and recommendations
