Job overview

We’re hiring for an enthusiastic and energetic Commercial Finance Administrator to be based in our Brighton offices, five minutes’ walk from the train station. Working within our commercial finance function, in this job you’ll provide support to the Head of Financial Analysis, Commercial Business Partners and the Commercial Finance Director in order to deliver effective business partnering, planning and analysis across the UK and North America HE divisions. You'll support all of the processing tasks within the team for the month-end, planning and ad hoc support requirements.

Key responsibilities

Administration Tasks

  • Preparation/loading of non-financial data including student volumes/weeks and New Student Enrolments on a monthly basis
  • Preparation and production of the monthly packs
  • Supporting the Commercial Finance team to provide robust, accurate and consistent KPI reporting across all brands
  • Development of new and continuous improvement of existing reporting and analysis by supporting reviews and ideas sharing across the team
  • Supporting the maintenance of the teams reporting suite, including but not limited to Agresso Excelerator reporting from the finance system
  • Responsible for annual progression invoicing to ensure an efficient and accurate process from initial data collation to the receipt of funds
  • Maintenance of robust Excel budgets and forecast models across the brands
  • Supporting the loading of budget and forecast data (financial and non-financial) to the finance system and reconciling results to ensure this has been completed accurately

Projects

  • Supporting the transition into a forecast and budget platform and remove the reliance on Excel, throughout 2019
  • Continuous improvement of supporting gathering and delivery of data
  • Future KPI development for business requirements, supporting the data collection and presentation to the commercial finance team

Other

  • Work closely with the Finance Analyst to ensure appropriate task cover
  • Provide day to day support for the links to the back office finance processes, such as expenses support and workflow

  • Excellent data manipulation and interpretation skills including Excel and PowerPoint presentation

  • Ability to provide cover and take on tasks to support the team pro-actively
