Who is this role for and where does it fit in?
A fantastic opportunity has opened at our Holland International Study Centre (HISC) for a free-lance Chemistry Tutor/Lecturer to join the team.
We are looking for a passionate Tutor/Lecture with the skills to give our students an interactive, creative, and innovative learning experience to prepare them for a successful university career. A student centred approach is essential in our lessons. In this role you are expected to deliver the Chemistry module through high quality teaching to international students studying on programmes offered by the Centre.
You would also collaborate with other Chemistry teachers and the HISC staff in preparing module examinations and other forms of formative and summative assessment, marking and providing feedback to students including re-sit examinations.

- 12 hours class teaching hour + 3 preparation hours for a period of 10 weeks (from 3 April 2018 to 8 June 2018)
- 10 hours assessment preparation, marking and administration (from 11 June 2018 to 6 July 2018)
What experience do you need?
- A Masters Degree in Chemistry
- A Bachelor's degree in a related subject area and preferably a Master’s degree.
- Some teaching experience in Dutch higher education or (last years of) high school.
- Confident in using Virtual Learning Environment/Blended Teaching and Learning technology.
- Fluent spoken and written English.
- Engaged, flexible and positive attitude.
Where is the role based?
HISC prepares students from all over the world for a university degree in the Netherlands. The centre aims to provide international students with the optimum educational preparation courses which range from International Foundation Years in Business and Science, to Pre-Masters Preparation. HISC is a high achieving, fast paced, and forward thinking centre, which is a part of the global Study Group network. Based in Amsterdam very close to Central Station, the centre offers excellent modern facilities and a truly international environment.
