Job Description

September 2017 start 

The International Study Centre based on the University of Sussex campus is currently looking for a permanent member of staff to manage and coordinate the ‘Career Ahead’ employment skills module and also teach Academic English Skills to our International Foundation, International Year One and Pre Masters students.

We are looking for a dynamic, inspirational teacher with the experience, skills and commitment to manage a small team of tutors, update existing materials and write assessments for the relatively new Career Ahead module. The successful candidate should be able to analyse student data and respond effectively in terms of course design and management, communicate effectively with both students and colleagues and deliver high quality teaching both for Career Ahead and the English department as required.

Candidates should be qualified to at least undergraduate level, have a Diploma in teaching English as a Foreign Language and previous experience teaching English for academic purposes. A teaching qualification and/or Masters qualification would be an advantage.

Candidates will be required to provide evidence of their right to work in the UK.
