Job overview

Our Professional Services teams are pivotal to the successful running of our centres. Responsible for everything outside of the classroom, this is fast pace, high volume working environment. Whether its general admin, complex data management, exams, or even some reception duty, the role is full of variety with no day being the same. We are looking for part time administrator to join the team working 3 days per week, and we can be flexible with what days you choose. If you are patient with the ability to work under pressure, have an acute eye for detail, and thrive from a dynamic working environment, then this role offers excitement as well as huge sense of satisfaction.

This position is based in The University of Sussex International Study Centre in a campus that offers a unique combination of tranquillity and energy. The centre is surrounded by a breath-taking national park, yet at the same time we are a short train or bus journey from Brighton. Brighton has fantastic transport links, so you'll easily be able to explore the rest of the UK and Europe.

Key responsibilities

  • To undertake scheduling administration, process records and produce reports.
  • To undertake all assessment and examination administration
  • Providing support to the academic teams in relation to quality assurance and student experience.


  • Experience working in a high pressured administrative role working with high volumes. 
  • You’ll need to be competent with working in a variety of systems.
  • You’re Microsoft Office ability will be strong with particular expertise with Excel.
  • You will be engaging with students and Academic staff in the centre, so experience in a customer service role would be highly advantageous/
  • Experience working in a Further Education or Higher Education setting would desirable.
