Job overview

At Study Group we are looking for a dedicated talent development professional to help take some of the great work already done in areas like our Career Development program to the next level, while supporting the learning needs of a business focused on high growth and future innovation.

The Career Development program links together competencies and skills by level and across career paths to create a framework for how roles link together and employees can know how they will be assessed as well as how they can grow into the next level of their career. You will be responsible for finalising and maintaining this framework across roles and creating/managing development programs/activities across the role types and levels.

You will also be responsible for working with our academic leaders and teachers to ensure that we are developing a comprehensive program for growing and developing our academic staff throughout their career at Study Group.

Working closely with our HR Business partners you will ensure that we are creating a comprehensive framework for identifying, developing and growing leaders across the organisation.

Key responsibilities

  • Managing our first line Leadership Training program and developing further modules as one grows in their leadership levels.
  • Creation of learning and development programs to support specific areas of the business.
  • Mentoring and coaching on succession planning and career planning with our leaders and HR business partners.
  • Management of our mentoring program.
  • Developing onboarding and new hire training.
  • Develop training content or assess/acquire external training content.
  • Coordination with other SG colleagues that create training content for their areas to ensure we are creating an inclusive program of all content across all jobs in one location.
  • Develop and roll out our performance life cycle for KPI setting and performance/development reviews.
  • Provide internal talent development consulting, act as a talent development ambassador throughout the organisation.
  • Manage cost effective delivery of talent development services, assessing business needs, creating, prioritising and implementing solutions.
  • Support the continued development of learning methodologies, tools and best practice throughout the organisation.

Capabilities/Experience

  • Ability to influence managers in a highly matrixed environment, highly collaborative team contributor.
  • Track record of leading and implementing change.
  • Strong commercial orientation – Identifying present and future talent development needs based on business needs, focus on ROI.
  • Track record of implementing global talent development processes/programs, demonstrating their positive impact on the organisation.
  • Needs analysis experience.
  • Strong business partnering background.
  • Effective communicator, credible, succinct and convincing.
  • Data driven analytical mind-set, able to derive insights from data.
  • Understanding of organisational behavior and individual behavior preferable.
  • Experience creating and facilitating core and professional, management and leadership development programs.
  • HR generalist experience.
  • Experience of working across cultures preferred.
  • OD or instructional design degree preferred, with experience of the varying methodologies involved.
