Job overview

We are seeking an experienced Student Services Officer to join our Charles Sturt University Study Centre team in Sydney.

Reporting to the Registrar, the Student Services Officer is responsible for providing compliance, administrative and operational support to the team who manages and delivers our Charles Sturt University courses.

The appointees must meet the eligibility requirements for appointment as an adjunct staff member of Charles Sturt University.

Salary: £40,000 per annum

Key responsibilities

  • Provide support to the Registrar in student orientation
  • Perform changes to enrolments (i.e. terminations, extensions, leave and early completion)
  • Ensure all Confirmation of Enrolment (COE’s) are actioned with accuracy
  • Issue Release letters
  • Manage Study Global/Banner student management systems and ensure all enrolment details are up to date
  • Provide high level of customer service to students and look after their administrative needs and enquiries
  • Manage course transfers and approval process for all courses
  • Coordinate moderation and examinations
  • Provide administrative support to CSU Management
  • Liaison with CSU for all students data and record management
  • Support financial processing and handling
  • General administration duties as required

Selection criteria

  • Minimum Certificate III in Business or equivalent
  • Experience in providing administrative support in a Higher Education environment
  • Experience servicing international students
  • Sound skills in Microsoft Office (especially Word, Excel, Outlook) and databases
  • High-level administration and organization skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience handling customer queries
  • Problem-solving skills
  • Confident liaising with internal and external stakeholders
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
