Shared Services Manager

Job Overview

The purpose of the Shared Services Manager is to lead, manage and motivate the Shared Services team and will be accountable for maintaining the integrity of the AP/AR Ledgers to include reconciliation and controls, monitoring systems and processes for Australian and New Zealand with effective communication with all contacts across the business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the Accounts Payable and Receivables function.  Increase service delivery levels for our internal & external customers
  • Oversee the Credit Card Expenses function to ensure accurate & timely processing of claims. Keep late submissions to a minimum & ensure Study Group policies are adhered to
  • Oversee and provide quality control for the teams’ output
  • Reviewing and approving payments
  • Cash Control; manage payments in line with business forecast & SLAs, reduce late payment submissions across the business
  • Maintain the relationship with our banking partners
  • Develop and monitor SLAs and KPIs covering all of transactional level finance
  • Develop and improve service delivery levels to meet business requirements
  • Change Management; successfully lead and implement change programmes
  • Build and maintain effective relationships with key stakeholders
  • Project management; participate in systems testing, proactively work through teething issues and provide end user support
  • Troubleshoot system issues as required; Agresso, Study Global
  • Act as banking administrator for ANZ
  • Identify procurement opportunities
  • Ad-hoc. Provide support and assistance to Finance team as and when required
  • Drive improvements in process quality, efficiency and reliability within the teams
  • Ensure processes are fully documented
  • Maintain a risk and control framework across all processes

Capabilities and Experience required

  • Demonstrate business acumen and strong influencing skills
  • AP/AR management experience
  • Strong team leadership skills
  • Strong process improvement experience/capability
  • Excellent relationship building skills
  • Excellent planning and prioritisation
  • Strong Excel skills V-Lookup & Pivot Tables
  • Good working knowledge of accountancy systems ( Agresso an advantage)
