Job overview

The purpose of the HR Coordinator role is to provide support to the HR Operations team and Global Human Resources team overall and be the first line of response for general HR queries through phone calls and on-line assistance as required, through the coordination and provision of administration and policy implementation as per policy and process guidelines.

The HR Coordinator provides general HR support and advice across the businesses in the areas of on-boarding, record-keeping and employee benefits, identifying opportunities to improve or streamline people related workflows, as well as supporting leaders in core people processes and projects as required.

Key responsibilities

  • Prepare new contracts and amendments to contracts
  • When opportunities arise coach managers, line leaders, and employees in the areas of employee administration, process flow, systems access and usability
  • Liaise with Payroll to ensure accurate data for all employees
  • Respond to all queries efficiently and effectively
  • Format Enterprise Agreement documents
  • Involvement in project work as required
  • Take accountability to ensure information relating to the activity/area is up to date and legislatively compliant
  • Ensure confidentiality of personal data is maintained.

Capabilities/experience

  • Previous experience in an HR generalist entry level role is highly regarded
  • Demonstrated influencing, planning and organising and problem solving skills coupled with drive and a results orientation
  • Comprehensive understanding of principles of Human Resources and ability to interact with key business stakeholders
  • Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of the business, verbal & written.
  • Experience of working with a HR ticketing system (Desired)
  • Experience of using MS office suite to produce letters, record data
  • Demonstrates Service Orientation
  • High attention to detail
  • The ability to respond to appropriate requests for assistance, maintaining confidentiality whenever necessary
  • Ability to communicate with clients and people at all internal levels of the organisation
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Excellent organisational skills in a pressurised environment
  • Ability to prioritise effectively and escalate issues where appropriate
