An exciting opportunity has opened up as Head of College based on the ANU campus. We are looking for a strategic and commercially savvy leader to manage our Pathways College to the highest degree ensuring the success of our students and staff and be part of the relaunch of the College in 2020

About the Role

  • Lead and manage the Pathways College, providing strategic operational and people leadership aligned to vision and SGA’s strategic direction.
  • Lead and manage our programs, our people and our students.
  • Progress growth opportunities and build outstanding, innovative, relevant and effective pathway programs that meet the needs of domestic and international students
  • Manage relationships with significant stakeholders, with a particular focus on key relationships with Australian National University and government regulatory bodies
  • Drive accountability for the ongoing development and implementation of a quality assurance framework encompassing all aspects of College operations.
  • Ensure the College operates within recognised principles, standards and protocols governing the education sector.
  • Oversee and ensure preparation for periodic audits of the College by external authorities.
  • Contribute as a collaborative, constructive and proactive member of the broader International Study Centres Leadership team within ANZ.
  • Ensure that safe and healthy work practices are followed and that University policies and procedures, relevant work standards and statutory obligations are complied with.

About You

To be successful in this role you will need the following Experience, Skills and Qualifications:

  • Relevant postgraduate qualification
  • PhD in a relevant field is highly desirable
  • Demonstrated high level academic or professional leadership experience
  • Demonstrated experience in leading a commercial business, ideally in the education sector
  • Political nous and gravitas and personal interrelationship strength
  • Ability to demonstrate self-drive, innovation, positivity and enthusiasm
  • Experience in leading cultural change and developing a culture that has a bias for action
  • Excellent written, interpersonal & presentation communication skills, with experience presenting to Boards and executive committees
  • Excellent relationship building skills; proven ability to develop and maintain positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Knowledge of the compliance and regulatory landscape in the education sector
  • Proven organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
