Course Coordinator - Business Programs

We are seeking a Course Coordinator to join our Charles Sturt University Study Centre team in Sydney and provide academic leadership in the delivery of Business programs.

Job overview

Reporting to the Senior Coordinator, the position is responsible to assist in the delivery and coordination of Business programs.

The appointees must meet the eligibility requirements for appointment as an adjunct staff member of Charles Sturt University.

The Course Coordinator will

  • Teach on the undergraduate and postgraduate programs – it is expected that around 6-9 hours per week teaching will be undertaken per session; and
  • Manage the courses by undertaking various administration and program management duties including but not limited to:
  • Contribute to curriculum development
  • Ensure administration systems and processes are maintained to a high level of accuracy
  • Perform whole of degree planning and undertake enrolment/re-enrolment activities
  • Manage students at risk
  • Conduct student consultation and academic counselling
  • Provide contact point for CSU staff on academic matters
  • Manage assigned lecturers t ensure high performance and a healthy and collaborative work environment
  • Promote scholarly environment within the Study Centre and team

The successful candidates must

  • Hold a Doctorate degree or a Master degree with at least 5 years of industry experience in business or related area in a management position
  • Have taught international students for at least 3 years in business or related fields
  • Have demonstrate successful teaching in the discipline at undergraduate and postgraduate levels in the Australian Higher Education sector
  • Have experience in course coordination, student course planning and management
  • Have superior communication and problem-solving abilities
