Job overview

We are seeking a motivated and energetic individual to add to the CSU Sydney Study Centre finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for you to develop your financial and customer service skills while working in a friendly and high performing environment that supports personal and professional development.

Key responsibilities

  • Process student fees – receipting of fees in Study Group’s student database management system
  • Follow up on outstanding student fees – contact students via email and SMS
  • Process student refunds against the CSU international student refund policy
  • Process scholarship payments
  • Prepare student payment plans
  • Coding of invoices
  • Preparation of payroll – on a fortnightly basis (Darlinghurst & Brisbane)
  • Provide timely and accurate customer service and advice to CSU Sydney and Brisbane students relating to all aspects of student finance

Selection criteria

The applicant must address the following selection criteria:

  • Experience in accounts payable and receivable functions
  • Advanced skills in excel, word and outlook
  • Demonstrated skills in use of financial and database systems
  • Demonstrated ability to work to deadlines
  • Demonstrated strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work well in a busy team environment
  • Demonstrated experience in policy adherence and implementation
  • Familiarity with the international education sector
  • Sensitivity to students from other cultures
  • Relevant post-secondary qualifications

Desirable criteria

  • Experience working at tertiary education environment
  • Hands-on experience in dealing with various aspects of financial administration

Qualifications & training

A diploma level qualification or higher in finance/accounting
