We are looking for an Admissions Officer to join a high volume, fast-paced admissions team assessing applications for students around the world.  If you have a keen eye for detail, are passionate about meeting service level agreements and thrive on delivering great customer service and can adapt quickly to change then this is the role for you.

Contract Type: Variable Hours – Casual and Contract

Key responsibilities

  • Process applications for admissions, credit applications (Recognition of prior learning), GTE, and acceptance of offers including issuing visa documents, accommodation requests and financial requirements in line with admissions procedures within the required timeframes.
  • Ensuring students records and data in PRISMS are maintained and accurate
  • Liaise with university partners obtain required package visa documents within agreed timeframes.
  • Determine admission to selected courses on receipt of outstanding documents in line with admissions requirements, update the student database and provide the outcome to the student/agent.
  • Identify, recommend and contribute to the development of improvements to admissions policies and processes and systems.
  • Process all required actions to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and Study Group policies and procedures.
  • Submit and record refund requests as appropriate within the required timeframes.
  • Follow up on no shows for each intake as requested and record outcomes within the prescribed timeframes.
  • Complete processes within the agreed service level agreements and notify manager of any delays impacting service level agreements.
  • Maintain an understanding of and compliance with DIBP, ESOS Act, National Code, SVP/GTE regulations, partner policies and procedures and Study Group policies and procedures.
  • Ensuring all agent and student queries are dealt with a professional manner


  • Completion of a diploma level qualification or equivalent
  • PRISM knowledge
  • Microsoft Office and navigating various databases
  • Working in a high volume environment
  • Experience in the international education sector
  • Experience assessing applications for admission
  • An understanding of the SSVF process
  • A commitment to accuracy, quality and attention to detail
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise
  • Good numerical skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Self-motivated and task orientated
  • Sense of responsibility and ownership
  • Ability to type at speed – touch typing is desirable
  • Flexible and able to work non-standard hours if required
  • The ability to complete tasks with minimal supervision
  • Sensitive to cultural and linguistic differences.

You will enjoy working as part of a team and have proactive working methods with a genuine desire to do your best at all times. Prior experience of working within admissions is essential.
