Administration Support Officer Academic

Study Group Australia (SGA) operates the Charles Sturt University (CSU) Study Centres in Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne in partnership with CSU.  The new campus in the Brisbane CBD opened in July 2016 to offer the CSU MPA and MIT courses and primarily enrol international students.  CSU and SGA are committed to providing outstanding educational opportunities for all students at our Study Centres. 

The Brisbane Study Centre is currently seeking a suitably qualified candidate to join our team as we expand our Brisbane Campus. The Administration Support Officer (Academic) role will undertake a broad range of academic administrative support requirements to ensure the CSU courses delivered on the Brisbane Campus run smoothly and professionally to meet CSU policy and compliance requirements. It is also a support role for Students Services and Welfare, Study Support and Careers, and Academic Administration. This position will assist with students, enrolments and data entry. This is not an Accounts Payable position. 

Contract type: Full time, permanent


  • A Diploma level qualification or higher in business administration or equivalent
  • Experience Required:   
  • Administrative experience in an educational environment is essential
  • Experience in the use of student or related databases including data entry and report generation
  • Knowledge of ESOS Requirements preferably with a background in dealing with International Students
  • Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team or project
  • Fluent in Excel spreadsheets and trackers


  • Excellent customer service skills and a willingness to help and support international & domestic students
  • Advanced MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint skills
  • Good attention to detail 
  • Ability to follow policy and procedures
  • Superior organisational skills and the ability to meet deadlines
  • A flexible attitude to work
  • Ability to work under pressure during peak periods and manage large volumes of work
  • Ability to work within a team to attain a common goal as well as independently.
