Job overview

In an aim to drive a data driven organization, we are searching for a highly motivated individual to fill a newly created role as a Reporting Analyst. The reporting analyst should obtain pertinent data from stakeholders and transform the data to useful information, and proceed to draw deduction and analysis.

Key responsibilities

  • Research, review and analyse existing information system/flow, capabilities and stakeholders’ needs to propose standardized and consistent reporting cadence
  • Analyse user data needs and determine needs resolved through automated repeatable process.
  • Prepare transparent standard reports and analyse to support business needs.
  • Manage cross functional projects within stipulated timelines
  • Develop and enhance spreadsheets and databases’ functionality like usage of forms, templates and logic functions.
  • Handle information processed confidentiality and proprietary nature of database.
  • Ensure high data quality through regular quality checks.
  • Extract, filter and aggregate data through logical queries and basic programming.
  • Provide insightful analysis and commentaries, linking business activities and cost drivers to outcomes

Required competencies

  • Higher education in Management Information Systems, Finance, Econometrics, Statistics, or similar
  • Proven success in creating data driven knowledge in a Finance organization that drives efficiency and effectiveness
  • Knowledge of suitable data analytic processes and platforms (e.g. Power BI, Tableau, Python, VBA)
  • Capacity to train staff in foundational data entry techniques.
  • Thrive well in fast paced, transformative, multi-cultural and cross-functional work environment.
  • Motivated, independent, accountable, collaborative and an influencer
