Head of Partner Development - Telesales

Job overview

The primary purpose of the role is to ensure success of the Partner Development - Telesales team developing and enhancing our business-to-business relationship and ensuring that Students are at the forefront of decisions.

This role is part of the Leadership Team who is contributing to the wider Study Group Strategy on Student and agents experience through people, processes and partners.

This role will report to the Telesales Director and will have 4 core priorities:

Key responsibilities

Performance and Operations Management

  • Lead the operational development and management of team, business systems and processes to operate effectively and increase breadth agents portfolio size, strength and sales performances (including geo expansion, engagement framework optimization, agents enablement)
  • Assess, prioritize and manage activities in alignment with strategy, targets and budget
  • Provide clear reporting to stakeholders, sales and marketing, within and outside the team, to allow fast, understandable and actionable insights, and convert them into plans to improve overall sales performance and market footprint, as well as looking for synergies and best practices opportunities
  • Anticipate and identify market or operational challenges to proactively solution them and guarantee smooth-running and performing team
  • Acquire, assess and harness technologies to deliver results. This role will require driving a couple of business, IT or process related projects in relation with other business groups, as a project manager or project contributor.
  • Define, optimize and / or standardize current / new processes in order to increase operational efficiency of the team: drive cost of student acquisition down, increase sales capacity and effectiveness, eliminate non added sales value work.
  • Achieve budgetary targets and ensure optimum financial performance of the activity

People management

  • Build and lead high performing team, drive high performance and coaching culture.
  • Recruit, train, provide ongoing support, drive performance, Identify and retain talents, provide vision and purpose
  • Develop and coach to enable their successful professional and personal achievement
  • Align the team with the Company mission, vision, values and strategy: clearly articulate the Company business goals/plans and initiatives, ensure they are translated into action through performance goals setting, regular cascade/communication and feedback processes

Strategy and planning

  • Identify and aggregate all required sources of information to build and articulate business cases for 3-5 years strategy planning and budget exercise, and any other relevant business review part of the Rhythm of Business
  • Build and develop operational and strategic business relationship with other groups to collaborate on wider Study Group Strategy (ex: Partner sales, Product sales, Sales excellence, other telesales teams

Geographical scope

  • Role based in Singapore
  • Distributed team: Singapore, Dubai, India, UK and Dubai time zones
  • Direct line manager based in Singapore
  • Oversea travel may occasionally be required

Qualifications & training

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Fluency in English. Mandarin or second language a plus.
  • Advance knowledge and usage of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Words

Experience required:

  • A strong, commercially savvy leader with successful track record in exceeding results through delivery of telesales solutions in a global marketplace
  • Demonstrated successful experience into driving breadth channel development and sales activities in a team leadership role
  • Experience building successful people management (direct management preferred, but indirect management experience will be considered), processes and systems to drive and support growth.
  • Demonstrated experience as a key contributor to executive business strategy
  • Experience managing distributed teams, working in a multi-cultural work environment
  • Effective stakeholder engagement and management
  • Experience managing a P&L within competitive service environment
  • CRM systems knowledge is essential
