Times Higher Education Awards 2016 announce the universities shortlisted to receive an award.
Each year, hundreds of universities enter the Times Higher Education Awards. The Times Higher Education Awards strive to find the best candidates, whose contributions exemplify talent and innovation in higher education.
The shortlist for Times Higher Education Awards 2016 shows continuing excellence among the universities we work with.

- Widening Participation or Outreach Initiative of the Year, in collaboration with the Science and Technology Facilities Council
- Research Project of the Year, on behalf of The Virgo Consortium

- International Collaboration of the Year
- Entrepreneurial University of the Year
University of Lincoln
- Entrepreneurial University of the Year
Royal Holloway, University of London
- Outstanding Contribution to Leadership Development
Leeds University Business School
- Business School of the Year
Strathclyde Business School, University of Strathclyde
- Business School of the Year

- Outstanding Digital Innovation in Teaching or Research
University of Sheffield
- Outstanding Support for Students
University of Surrey
- Most Improved Student Experience
- THE DataPoints Merit Award

- Most Innovative Contribution to Business-University Collaboration; Rail Safety and Standards Board, in collaboration with the University of Huddersfield
