Study Group wins the Pathway Company of the Year prize at the Global Education Investor Awards 2020.
As a leading provider of global education, Study Group achieved success in the Pathway Company of the Year category, through demonstrating a forward-thinking and pioneering approach to digital innovation by being at the forefront of online education provision development before the global health crisis hit.
Anticipating a shift to blended and virtual learning, with ground-breaking EdTech solution insendi in place at the start of February this year, enabled the organisation to swiftly pivot to digital course delivery to meet the changing needs of international students due to the Coronavirus pandemic.
As a result, Study Group supported over 14,000 students from 120 countries, on campuses spread across three continents, to achieve their desired learning and progression outcomes in ground-breaking new ways in the 2019 / 2020 academic year.
As James Pitman, UK and EU Managing Director at Study Group comments:
“We are delighted to win the Pathway Company of the Year prize at the Global Education Investor Awards 2020.
Nobody in the international education sector in 2019 imagined how 2020 would play out and the impact of COVID-19 on the sector. However, we understood pre-pandemic that online education was a powerful disruptor of all services, which allowed access to new audiences and the ability to think differently about distance learning and delivery at pace.
Our foresight to invest in online education expertise of the highest quality through our acquisition of insendi was to prove game-changing at a moment of unforeseen disruption, allowing for a focus on providing the best possible learning experience platform and educational content despite enormous challenge.
Study Group turned 25 years old in 2020. Its Anniversary was not as expected, but it did mark a year of outstanding effort and achievement in the highest-quality, research-informed, online, and blended education, which look set to underpin the next 25 years and ensure the continued success of our students.
Thank you and a huge congratulations to everyone at Study Group and insendi who have made winning this award possible.”
