Study Group celebrates extended collaboration with three UK universities

09 January 2019

Study Group are delighted that three of our collaborating universities in the UK will be continuing their relationship with us.

Together with the University of Sussex, University of Huddersfield, and University of Surrey, we have helped change the lives of thousands of prospective students all over the world.

Study Group’s first and longest running UK university collaboration with the University of Sussex is set to continue after yet another successful academic year.  The University of Sussex International Study Centre recorded a progression rate of 96% during the 2017/18 academic year.

The Vice-Chancellor of the University of Sussex, Adam Tickell, said:

“We’re proud to extend our partnership with Study Group. Our ground-breaking International Study Centre has helped so many international students thrive at the University of Sussex. It is no coincidence that this model has been replicated at universities up and down the country, with great success.”

The on-campus pathway programme model operated at our International Study Centres ensures students flourish when they progress to the host university, which benefits both student and institution. This model continues to drive success at our collaborating universities.

Professor Dave Taylor, the Pro Vice-Chancellor, International at the University of Huddersfield, said:

“After working in close partnership with Study Group for ten years, we had no hesitation in renewing our contract with them. The University of Huddersfield International Study Centre has excellent progression and retention rates, and the students are among our strongest achievers when they graduate from their degree programmes.”

The University of Huddersfield has also signed a new long-term tenure with Study Group, following the recent celebration of the ten-year anniversary of the University of Huddersfield International Study Centre. This marks the second time the University has renewed its working relationship with Study Group since the collaboration commenced in 2008.

In addition to Sussex and Huddersfield, the University of Surrey has renewed its contract with Study Group. The International Study Centre recently celebrated a progression rate of 85% in the 2017/18 academic year.

James Pitman, Managing Director of UK & Europe at Study Group, notes: "The appetite for on campus pathway preparation continues to grow and the model we pioneered in the UK over a decade ago continues to deliver outstanding results, as demonstrated by our partners’ ongoing commitment to these working relationships and continued first-rate progression statistics.

“With more bright young people across the globe looking for a fantastic HE experience, UK universities are in prime position to take advantage. Our recent International Study Centre QAA ‘commendable’ outcomes and OfS registration, reaffirms our commitment to quality pathway provision and makes us the only private pathway provider with OfS accreditation in the UK.”

Study Group is proud to work with universities like these, forging successful university experiences for students all over the world. You can find out more about our recent progression rates in the UK here.
