For two decades Taylors College has been supporting international students to enter the globally-respected university
Study Group is delighted to celebrate 20 years of successful partnership with the University of Sydney. The partnership has proved to be a huge success, with over 18,500 talented students from 50 countries supported by Taylors College to enter the University of Sydney.
Study Group and the University of Sydney began their partnership in 1998, leading to the establishment of Taylors College Sydney as a pathway provider for international students. Since the introduction of the University of Sydney Foundation Program in 1999, the College has developed its academic offering with the introduction of new subjects to broaden student learning in line with the University curriculum, introduced the CareerAhead module to equip students with employability skills to complement their academic knowledge, and launched the High Achievers Preparation Program (HAPP) in 2016 as a fast-track route to the University. The development and diversification of the programme portfolio has enabled the University to grow its international student body and diversify nationality mix and degree route, with a continuing trend of students selecting diverse disciplines including Architecture, Creative Arts, Education, Science & Engineering.
Thanks to staff commitment to teaching excellence and a focused, results-driven environment, Taylors College Sydney sees a high progression rate, with 92% of the 2016 and 2017 student cohorts articulating to the University of Sydney. Rosie Giddings, Dean of Students at Taylors College Sydney, explained, “Our close relationship with the University of Sydney not only maintains our academic rigour but enables students to be familiar with the University before they start as undergraduates.“
Andrew Dawkins, Head of International Study Centres ANZ at Study Group, said, “The University of Sydney is a prestigious institution with a long tradition of excellence. Taylors College Sydney is proud to have been its pathway provider for international students for 20 years. Tertiary education is a challenging, ever-changing environment, and a 20-year partnership is something to celebrate. “
