University College Dublin signs a five-year deal with Study Group to continue attracting the best international talent to Ireland
Study Group is thrilled to announce that we have extended our collaboration with University College Dublin (UCD) for five more years.
Douglas Proctor, Director of International Affairs at UCD, says: “We are committed to attracting a diverse intake of international students and preparing them for a successful transition to university life with our on-campus International Study Centre. Companies are attracted to Dublin in particular because of the talented international workforce they can tap into thanks to our first-class graduates. We have great links to industry and do very well in employability ranking league tables.”
UCD and Study Group began collaborating in 2011. Together we established Ireland’s first public-private higher education pathway partnership. Since then the International Study Centre has gone from strength to strength. This year’s results show that 86% of students who completed their course and achieved the required grades went on to study at the University.
James Pitman, Study Group’s Managing Director UK & Europe, says: “The post-study visa system in Ireland is an attractive proposition for international students. It not only shows how welcoming Ireland is but highlights the employability opportunities in the country – an increasingly important factor for universities looking to attract the brightest and best.”
