Official Opening of Trinity College Dublin and University College Dublin International Study Centre

On Tuesday November 15th, distinguished guests from Trinity College Dublin and University College Dublin, Study Group senior management, centre staff and students joined together in Dublin’s Leeson St. to celebrate the official opening of the new International Study Centre.
The invited guests were welcomed to the centre by MD for HE UK and Europe, James Pitman, who paid tribute to everyone who has contributed to the establishment of the International Study Centre. James acknowledged the innovative partnership between Ireland’s two premier academic institutions and Study Group in providing high quality education opportunities to students worldwide. He spoke of the fantastic environment and the rich cultural and educational heritage to be found in Dublin, and how studying in this truly European capital assured international students of a life experience they will always treasure.
James also wished the newly arrived students every success in their endeavours to progress to rewarding years of study at their chosen University in Dublin before introducing the Deputy President of UCD, Prof. Mark Rogers and Vice Provost of Trinity College Dublin, Prof. Linda Hogan.
Both Prof. Rogers and Prof. Hogan expressed their pleasure at the culmination of hard work and collaboration between both universities and Study Group in bringing about this new and exciting dimension to Higher Education in Ireland. They also congratulated the students on their success to date and wished them enjoyable and rewarding academic careers in their respective universities.
The assembled guests had the opportunity to experience the facilities and life in the centre first-hand and speak to the students about international student life in Dublin. A very enjoyable evening was had by all.
