Business, Economics and Social Sciences Foundation pathway students can now progress to Actuarial and Financial Studies at University College Dublin.
Study Group is delighted to introduce a new progression degree at the Dublin ISC.
International students on the Business, Economics and Social Sciences Foundation pathway can now progress to the Actuarial and Financial Studies undergraduate degree at UCD.
The four-year course is ideal for ambitious, career-minded students with strong analytical skills and a passion for high-level mathematics who seek to develop a rewarding and financially lucrative professional career in the actuarial or financial sector.
Students on the Actuarial and Financial Studies degree will benefit from a six-month supervised professional placement with an insurance or financial institution in Dublin, UK or USA.
On graduation, students who achieve sufficiently high grades will automatically become members of the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries with exam exemptions gained from their degree. To qualify fully as an Actuary, the final professional examinations are usually taken over the next few years while gaining the necessary work experience.
Students can apply now to start the Foundation course in September 2014.
