Durham University has announced a ten-year strategy for growth and investment to maintain its prestigious reputation worldwide. One of the key proposals is increasing international diversity, which will be supported by their collaboration with Study Group announced earlier this year.
Global reach
Welcoming more international students and academics from around the world is a key focus of the University’s long-term vision. By 2027 Durham wants to increase its international student population from 25% to 35% and plans to strengthen links with peer institutions around the world.
World-class research
The University is investing in education and wider student experience, developing world-leading research and providing a challenging education that sets students up for their future careers.
Dedicated centre for international students
The Durham University International Study Centre will be welcoming students from around the world to Queen's Campus in Stockton-on-Tees from September. International students will study pathway programmes in a nurturing environment before progressing to their degree at the University.
