Allegro acquires Endeavour Learning Group

02 November 2018

Australasian private equity fund manager Allegro Funds (Allegro) has purchased Endeavour Learning Group (ELG) from Study Group Australia (Study Group).

The acquisition includes Endeavour College of Natural Health, Wellnation Clinics, Wellspring bookstore, and FIAFitnation in Australia, as well as the College of Natural Health and Homeopathy in New Zealand.

Allegro is backed by international institutional investors, including Australian superannuation funds. It invests in mid-market businesses in Australia and New Zealand and has over $1B of funds under management. Study Group is one of Australasia’s largest providers of international education services - ELG sat alongside Study Group’s regional university pathway courses since its purchase in 2015.

Allegro Founding Partner Chester Moynihan said: “We are very excited to invest in and support ELG, a leading Australian education provider with a long tradition of delivering high quality natural health degrees. We look forward to supporting the highly passionate teachers, staff and students in growing the business over the coming years.”

Study Group Managing Director, Development (Australasia), Warren Jacobson, said: “We are pleased about ELG’s potential for growth with Allegro, which has a strong corporate presence in our region. We are working with Allegro through the transition to ensure ELG staff continue to provide the best possible learning environment for students. There will be no disruption from the change of ownership as Allegro is purchasing ELG in its entirety.”

Study Group will continue to focus on its university partnerships and other operations in the region, none of which are affected by ELG’s sale.
