Study Group is delighted to announce its first office in Indonesia.
Study Group, a global leader in international education, announced that it has set up its first office in Indonesia. Located in Central Jakarta, the office allows Study Group to better facilitate operations with many local agents and enhance engagement with students in the country. The office, which is Study Group’s 15th in Asia, is part of the Group’s global expansion plan. It also underscores Study Group’s commitment to the Indonesian market, which is a key growth region for the company.
Study Group’s Jakarta-based team will be well positioned to interact with local students on the ground, and focus on enhancing overall student experience with international education. With this set up, Study Group aims to offer students in Indonesia better access to higher education courses from over 70 campuses and 40 high-ranking university partners across Australia, Canada, Europe, New Zealand, United Kingdom and United States, of which six partner universities that are recognised in the Global Employability top 150.
Manoj Shetty, Executive Director of Global Sales at Study Group, said: “We are expecting to see strong demand from students in Indonesia as higher education enrollment in the country is projected to jump by more than 50 percent from 2009 to 2020 to hit 7.7 million. We want to offer students with more international opportunities to access quality education and get the knowledge and skills that they need to be successful in the local or global economy.”
With a population of more than 255 million, Indonesia is the most populous country in Southeast Asia and the fourth most populous in the world. As a newly industrialised and emerging country, there is a pressing need for a more educated and skilled workforce. Boston Consulting Group predicts that Indonesia will need to fulfil the demand-supply gap of 40 to 60 percent for middle management levels by 2020.
“As one of the leading international education providers, Study Group will continue to play a crucial role in helping Indonesia meet this growing demand for talent. We do this by helping students here gain access to quality education from world-class institutions globally,” added Shetty.
