Commitment to global engagement

AUT University traces its roots back to 1895 as the country’s leading Institute of Technology. It earned its university status in 2000 in recognition of its national and international stature in research, teaching, scholarship, creativity and innovation.

Delivered by Taylors College in the heart of Auckland, Auckland Foundation Year (AFY) has been designed to give students the academic qualifications, English language and study skills they need to enter AUT University. Cultural and pastoral support is another essential component to the student experience at Taylors, ensuring excellent progression rates on to university study.

On successful completion of their AFY course, students can progress onto a wide range of undergraduate degree courses at AUT University.

"AUT University is a diverse university, engaged with industry, business and the community. Our high-quality teaching staff, innovative facilities, learning support and contemporary programmes help us to produce highly employable graduates."
