University of Sussex International Study Centre celebrates its ten-year anniversary with staff and alumni

14 June 2017

The International Study Centre is celebrating ten years since its first students progressed to university.

Opened by Study Group, the University of Sussex is home to the first International Study Centre and since then has seen thousands of students go on to achieve their degrees at Sussex.

Academic achievements

Alongside its foundation courses, the International Study Centre has also introduced English Language Preparation, International Year One, Pre-Masters courses, and the innovative CareerAhead scheme. As one of the UK’s top universities, the International Study Centre ensures a high standard of education for international students. This success is reinforced by its consistent high progression data every year, which was 97% in 2016.

What the alumni think

The International Study Centre invited some of its alumni to share their experiences of studying at Sussex, as well as expressing their gratitude to teachers and staff. These messages were then played for the staff, with their reactions captured on video.

The video is part of Sussex’s anniversary celebrations, which aims to highlight the International Study Centre’s achievements during the last ten years. You can find out more about these accomplishments by visiting Sussex’s timeline.
