The new international student-facing website for Royal Roads University International Study Centre won two awards, a MarCom Award and Davey Award, for creativity and innovation.
The Marcom Award and Davey Award are two of the most prestigious creative competitions in the world. The MarCom Awards, administered and judged by the Association of Marketing and Communication Professionals (AMCP), aims to honour excellence and the creativity of communication and marketing professionals. The Davey Awards, selected by the Academy of Interactive and Visual Arts, evaluates creative work to identify excellence and honour the achievements of “Creative Davids”, deriving strength from big ideas rather than big budgets.
In redesigning the website for Royal Roads University International Study Centre, Study Group’s Creative Services team focused on creating a highly visual and engaging online experience that will resonate with a global audience across desktop and mobile devices. The new responsive site features an innovative background video that delivers a personlised, geo-targeted experience that adapts to four geographical locations: Latin America, India, China and USA. Personlised content is being increasingly used in today’s global market to deliver engaging, targeted user experiences and drive audience engagement.
The new website has proved popular with website visitors as well as Marcom and Davey Awards judges. Since launching, website visit times have increased by 50%, and online application submissions have increased by 85%. This new site sets a precedent for Study Group as we continue to work towards implementing responsive and creative platforms for the universities we work with.
Congratulations to the website project team responsible for the redesign: Alex Lund, Digital Marketing Manager for North America, Calvin Li, Senior Web Developer, and Clare Pascoe-Price, Gregg Bunce and Lana Bozovic of the Creative Services team.
